Every four minutes, someone is photographed by a tablet.*

LA · SF · Las Vegas

It doesn't have to be this way. Society of Booth puts a real photographer, studio light and unlimited prints at weddings and parties in Los Angeles, San Francisco and Las Vegas.

* Statistics invented. Feelings real.

Exhibit A

Not that kind of booth.

You've seen it: a tablet, a ring light, a line nobody joins. Tap to start. We're the throwback. An actual human behind a real camera, taking the best photos anyone gets all night. Photo booths used to come with a photographer. We never stopped.

Black Tie

Everyone looks like a magazine cover.

Black and white through pro glass, lit by the kind of light fashion shooters rent for the day, finished with our own skin-smoothing technique. A photographer who waits for the laugh. The tuxedo version of the booth.

Sequin, velvet, seamless color, hand-painted canvas. Pick the one you want and a backup or two, and they ride along with your date.

Ways to give

Tax deductible: no.

Your contribution funds one photographer, one assistant, a van of lights and a box of prints for one evening. Deductible from the night's regrets: entirely. Both looks include the studio lighting, unlimited prints and instant sharing; the only choice is color or black and white.

Most receptions run four hours: $2,350 for Classic, $2,550 for Black Tie. The meter is honest and we check with you before it starts. Need us there but closed for a stretch, like between cocktail hour and the reception? That is idle time at half rate, $200 an hour.

Travel included within 50 miles of Los Angeles, San Francisco, or Las Vegas. Sales tax included. Nothing hidden, nothing added at the door.

The math

Priced like a kiosk. Shot like a studio.

For about what a tablet and a ring light rent for, you get two professionals, studio light, every print and every photo. No per-print fee, no "digital upgrade", no attendant surcharge. The price on the page is the price.

  • 2pros at the booth, start to finish
  • ∞prints, lab quality, with your names on them
  • 0retouching needed, because the light did it
  • 100%of the photos, on phones before the song ends
How it works

Three steps, zero stress

You pick a date and a look. We handle every other part of it, including the part where everyone looks great.

  1. 01

Pick a date and a look

Tell us the date, the venue, and Classic or Black Tie. We hold the date the same day.

  2. 02

We show up early and lit

Two of us, set up and tested before the first guest walks in. You never think about it again.

  3. 03

    Everyone leaves with the photos

Prints at the booth, shots on their phones, a gallery for you by morning.

Asked and answered

01Is a photographer really better than a kiosk?

Yes, and it shows in every frame. A kiosk fires when the timer runs out. A photographer waits for the laugh, wrangles the group of twelve, and fixes the hair in the eyes. The lighting is the other half: real studio strobes instead of a ring light, so nobody needs retouching and what you see is what you get.

02Do guests get prints and digital?

Both, in every package. Unlimited prints at the booth, every shot texted or emailed from the booth before they walk away, and a hosted gallery with high-res downloads the morning after.

03How much space do you need?

About ten by ten feet with a standard outlet nearby. We've squeezed into less. Send us a photo of the spot and we'll tell you.

04Can we customize the backdrop or the print design?

Yes. There are sixty-plus backdrops in the library, and the print template carries your names and the date. Custom-printed backdrops are available on request.

05What happens if the party runs long?

We stay. Extra hours are $400 each, and we check with you before the meter starts.

06What if you need to be there but the booth is closed for a while?

That is idle time, and it is half rate: $200 an hour. Typical cases are a gap between cocktail hour and the reception, or a venue that needs us set up early. Hours the booth is open run at the package rate.

07Do you travel?

Travel is included within 50 miles of Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Las Vegas. Farther out is a quick quote.

08Who is behind this?

The team at Two Dudes Photo, who have shot 3,000+ events for the biggest brands in the world. Same crew, same lights, built for the best night of your life instead of a trade show floor.
