A seasonal appeal

This holiday season, give the tablet the night off.

Company party, friendsgiving, the family thing with the matching pajamas. A photographer runs the booth, studio strobes do the flattering, and everyone leaves with a print in their pocket and the shot on their phone. Prints included. Ring lights not.

Not that kind of booth

The office party kiosk is a tablet on a stand. This is a photographer.

Asked and answered

01How far ahead should we book a holiday party photo booth?

December Saturdays go first, usually by early November, and the middle two weekends go before the first. We hold a date the day you ask, and a real person replies within one business day. Weeknights and January have more room, and the venue probably cost less too.

02Do you do company holiday parties?

Yes. Company parties, friendsgivings, family parties and the office thing in the office all get the same booth, the same crew and the same price as a wedding. Forty people in a restaurant back room or four hundred in a ballroom. The team behind this (Two Dudes Photo) has shot more than eighty holiday parties for the biggest companies in the Bay Area, so the corporate side is covered.

03Can the backdrop match the theme?

Ugly sweater, winter wonderland, black tie, a Vegas casino night: shortlist three backdrops from the library and send them with your date. Black Tie turns the whole night black and white if you want the drama.

04Are prints included at a holiday party?

Unlimited prints are included in both packages, printed on the spot while the party rolls. Your company name or the party's name goes on the print if you want it. Every guest also gets the photo on their phone in seconds.

05How much space does the booth need?

About ten by ten feet and a standard outlet. We have squeezed into less: restaurant back rooms, breweries, lobbies, a conference room. Send a photo of the spot and we will tell you where the booth goes.

06Which cities?

Los Angeles, San Francisco, Las Vegas, with local crews and local rates, travel included within 50 miles. Offices in two cities on the same night is a thing we do.
